Our Mission Matters
Who We Are
We are a regenerative fire and land stewardship organization dedicated to healing the earth through the respectful and intentional use of fire. By integrating Indigenous cultural burning practices with modern wildland and structural firefighting training, we bring both ancestral wisdom and contemporary safety standards to every project.
Our work focuses on restoring ecosystems, regenerating soils, protecting native habitats, and supporting biodiversity. Through informed and carefully applied fire stewardship, we reduce catastrophic wildfire risk while renewing the health and resilience of the land for future generations.
We believe that fire—when used with knowledge, respect, and purpose—is a powerful force for regeneration, balance, and a renewed relationship between people and the natural world.
Our Vision
For generations, fire has been misunderstood—feared, suppressed, and treated as an enemy. But for thousands of years before that, fire was medicine. It was knowledge. It was a tool of renewal. It was culture. Today, we are proud to introduce FireKeeper Alliance, a team formed to bring that wisdom forward and guide California toward a healthier, more resilient future.
FireKeeper Alliance exists at the crossroads of heritage, science, and stewardship. Our founders bring together decades of experience: cultural burn knowledge rooted in Native tradition, the deep expertise of wildland fire practitioners, and structural and industrial firefighting leadership. Each perspective is different, but together, they form a complete circle—a unified approach to fire that focuses on regeneration, ecological health, and community education.

A Powerful Tool
Why We Are Here
California’s landscapes are stressed, overgrown, and suffering from years of fire suppression. We see the results every year: hotter wildfires, degraded soils, disappearing species, and communities living in fear of the next spark.
But the solution isn’t simply “fighting fire.”
It’s understanding fire.
It’s learning to work with it, not against it.
Our mission is to restore balance by teaching and applying safe, cultural, and regenerative burn practices—methods designed to protect the land, strengthen ecosystems, and reduce catastrophic wildfire risk. FireKeeper Alliance was founded to bring back the relationship with fire that once sustained these lands, and to make that knowledge accessible to communities, landowners, and agencies in today’s world.

Fire As A Tool For Healing
A well-stewarded fire clears invasive brush, rejuvenates native plants, enriches soil, and opens the forest floor to sunlight. It protects wildlife habitat and increases water retention. Most importantly, it prevents the kind of extreme wildfires that destroy homes, forests, and lives.
The cultural burn practices we champion are slow, intentional, and guided by generations of expertise. When fire is applied carefully, with respect for the land and awareness of the natural cycles around it, it becomes one of the most powerful restoration tools we have.
Restoring What Was Lost
Fire Is An Essential Part of Regeneration
FireKeeper Alliance is not just a burn crew—it’s a movement to revive knowledge. We aim to train the next generation of fire practitioners, empower communities to steward their own lands, and help local and state partners integrate cultural fire into long-term climate resilience planning.
Through education, field training, community demonstration burns, and partnerships with tribes, conservation groups, and landowners, we are working to return fire to its rightful place: not as a threat, but as a teacher and healer.
Our Commitment
-
To restore California’s landscapes through regenerative and cultural burning.
-
To honor Indigenous knowledge and carry it forward with respect.
-
To train crews, communities, and landowners in safe, effective fire practices.
-
To protect both people and ecosystems through prevention, education, and stewardship.
-
To create opportunities for a new workforce—one rooted in purpose, culture, and service.
Lighting The Path Forward
FireKeeper Alliance is more than a company; it’s a return to balance.
It’s the spark of a movement that brings nature, people, and tradition back into alignment.
Thank you for joining us as we take our first step. In the coming months we’ll be sharing updates on our field projects, training programs, partnerships, and ways communities can get involved.
The land has been waiting for this.
So have we.
